How to Take Your Measurements

Remember to keep the tape parallel to the floor when taking measurements.

Chest: Place the measuring tape 1 to 2 inches below your armpit and guide it all the way around your back. Measure above the widest point of your chest while keeping your arms down.

Waist: Find the point where the natural curve of your waist is most pronounced — most often located between the navel and the bottom of the ribs. Go completely around this part of your torso with the measuring tape.

Hips: Place the tape measure around your hips, passing over your hip bones, at the widest point of your glutes. Use a mirror as a reference.
