The Field Coat in Storm
The Field Coat in Storm
Field coats have been the outdoorsman’s choice for well over a century. But Anián wanted one that was more comfortable and more environmentally responsible, so they set out to make their own. Before long, they found the ideal material—a hardy and handsome recycled wool blend that breathes well, sheds fog or showers, and keeps you warm in cool-to-cold conditions. Anián's warmest and most durable layer, the new Field Coat has a lofted weave that’s soft, easy-wearing, and hefty enough for hard work in the open air—similar to heavyweight fleece, but with a more natural feel. Manufactured in Anián's unique, dye-free process that eliminates the need for harmful chemical dyes, the coat features a double yoke across the upper back for added strength, comfort and weather protection; the pleats on the back shoulders provide excellent freedom of movement, whether it’s a weekday on Broadway or a weekend way off the grid. Other details include a flat-lying collar, two buttoned chest pockets, two side-seam pockets, single-button cuffs and a square hem; the buttons are black with turned caramel.
